Description

Ideal for hikers and mountaineers who value maximum collapsibility but don’t want to part with adjustability, LEKI Micro Vario CORTEC TA AS aluminum trekking poles offer durable, shock-absorbing performance in pack-friendly dimensions.

Incorporating a positive angle that preserves a natural position for your wrists the dynamic lightweight Aergon CORTEC grips have an ovoid shape that can be palmed or held traditionally. The grips are made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex making them strong and comfortable. Rubberized dimpled tops offer textured grip points and ultra-lightweight easy-to-adjust straps reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort. The extended length of the grips allows you to grasp lower on the shafts eliminating the need to shorten the length of the poles every time you encounter a steep slope or side hill traverse.

The aluminum shaft sections are connected by a concealed inner cord that runs through all three sections of the poles. After each shaft section is aligned, pull them taut until you hear the "click" that indicates the PLD (Push-button Locking Device) is engaged. This innovative design saves weight and increases collapsibility while still delivering surprising strength. Unlike many foldable poles on the market, these poles also offer a short range of adjustability. By utilizing the integrated easy-to-use Speed Lock lever, you can adjust the length of the poles from 43.3"-51.2". The poles fold down to 14.9” for storage.

These poles feature LEKI's Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. This system reduces the peak impact force by up to 40%, protecting muscles, joints and ligaments. LEKI places the DSS Antishock system close to the point of impact by placing the system right above the tip of the pole.

Carbide flex tips deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if poles get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. LEKI’s Trekking Basket 2.0’s are included and are interchangeable with other baskets (sold separately)
