Pret Corona X Mips Helmet - Women's:

New this year Pret introduces the Corona X, the ideal performance women’s helmet. Built around VTT4 our radical new development in achieving the ultimate control over ventilation and warmth. As with the Cirque X we used the latest evolution of ACT to take durability & protection to the next level without compromising style or comfort. We combine different thicknesses of Polycarbonate sheets to create one of the lightest and highest performing helmets available. A new full wrap lower shell combined with MIPS, the rock solid RCS fit system, Fidlock buckles and a soft Ultrafleece liner complete the package.

MIPS® - MIPS sets a new standard in helmet safety. Developed by brain surgeons and scientists to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head. The secret behind MIPS’ unique, patented technology comes from the human brain. The brain is surrounded by a low-friction cushion of cerebrospinal fluid that protects it by allowing it to slide slightly on impact. MIPS imitates the brain’s way of protecting itself by giving the helmet it’s own low-friction layer between the outer shell and the liner, which also slides to absorb much of the energy created by an angled blow to the head. MIPS is included on all Pret X helmets.

VTT4 - NEW VTT4 Ventilation on the Cirque X opens up like no other helmet to allow for a massive amount of ventilation when you need it most, or shut down completely when conditions call for complete protection from the elements. Front & rear channels in the system move the excess air out the back even when the vents are closed. Goggle vents have been optimized for fit & function with top performance goggles.

RCS Fit System - Pret developed our exclusive quick release Ripcord System (RCS) to create the perfect micro-adjustable, compact and ergonomic fit system. Quick dial in your fit. One full turn provides a full 4cm of micro-adjustment. Simply pulling up on the adjustment dial and the exclusive Ripcord feature instantly releases the system.
