Sturtevant's Named SKI Magazine's "Far West Shop of the Year" for Second Consecutive Year
SEATTLE - Sturtevant's, a specialty ski shop located in Bellevue, Wash. has once again been recognized as SKI Magazine's "Far West Shop of the Year." In the award's eight year history, this is the first time a shop has won in consecutive years. The award covers the Far West region, including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and British Columbia. Sturtevant's also won the "Far West Shop of the Year" award in 2001 and has been voted a "Gold Medal Ski Shop" by SKI Magazine every year since 1999.
"This award is especially gratifying for us as it recognizes our commitment to an experienced staff, top-notch service and selection and a great value for our customers," said Sturtevant's owner Duncan Campbell.
A panel of industry experts, including manufacturers, product managers, and SKI Magazine editors, rated shops in six categories: staff expertise, selection, price and value, backshop and tuning, bootfitting, and innovative programs. The award was given at the 2006 SnowSports Industries of America annual convention in Las Vegas on January 23rd.
